Experience Jane

It's no secret over here that I love shopping on Jane! I've been talking about them for years, but as we roll into the holidays, I wanted to share about how you can experience Jane this season! Last year, I probably bought 50% of gifts {for myself and others, haha!} on Jane, which made things so convenient. {It also couuuuld have been because I was up nursing an adorable baby forty million times per night nursing, but mainly because it was convenient. Hahah!} I liked that everything felt thought out and planned way ahead of time, and all I had to do was wrap it! Easy peasy for this Mama! Over the years, the app has become easier to navigate, and so user-friendly! {I've been shopping through them since before they had an app, so I feel like I can speak on this subject! ;)}

The search feature is also one of my favorite things that they have added, so when I'm looking for something as specific as a "Hallmark Christmas Sweater," if there is a deal close to the description, it comes right up! Or, if I just want to peruse about the shoes or jeans {some of my favorites,} I just type in "shoes" or "jeans!" The deals change daily, so when you see something, snatch it! I talk about this shop so much, that I thought it might be helpful to go a little bit more in-depth about it! Also! Last year as the holidays approached, they had deals that said "Christmas delivery!" Also, if I have ever had a question or issue with my order, a Jane staff member has been so friendly and quick to reply and connect me with the seller! SO, if you are looking for a gift that must be there by then, keep an eye out for those! They also have some that will say "Free shipping" on a banner in the listing picture, which is always nice, too!

Choosing our Motherhood

One of the things I love most about Motherhood is the ability to take our own experiences, good or difficult, and use them to decide how we will raise and love our own children. Even though the stewardship we have over our homes, jobs, homework, activities, and all the other responsibilities of “adulting” can feel like a large weight to bear at times... I can’t help but to think about when I dreamt of this, prayed for this, and longed for the day I could have the sacred responsibility of shaping and loving little humans.💕 “She was one of the kind that likes to grow up. Healthy Smiles for Kids

Hello, California!💕🌴 Loved spending the evening with @ochealthysmiles! @tdptom and I have loved being involved as they have grown from a small operation several years ago, to {as of recently,} treating over 800,000 kids in need! From Dental Hygiene visits to cleft palate surgeries, the staff and volunteer doctors are making a huge impact! Tonight’s event raised almost $40,000, and every dollar will go towards helping the kids! I took over their stories tonight at the Gala, and it was so much fun! Thank you for having us!💕

Whole 30 Prep

           WELP, since we've been road tripping for 4 weeks and I'm basically one giant McDonald's french fry, I figured we should make sure we're eating some good ol' homemade meals! I took @tdptom to Costco with me to prep. I usually have all 5 kids with me, so it was the easiest Costco trip I've ever had! Hahaha! And, he's kind of fun company.;) Let me know your favorite Whole 30 meals, or let me know what you'd like to see in our other Whole 30 videos!

Oregon Coast: TDP Traveling

WOW! Happy Summer! This right here is a testament to the power of spontaneity! We can't always get up and just leave everything, but we had a window of time where we could and we took it! We decided to do a Utah road trip {yes, you read correctly..."Yoo-tah ROHD-TRIP verb. The act of trapping  5 humans ages 6 and under in a car and driving 20 plus hours to the beehive state!" Hahaha.
I'm so grateful for these memories that we almost didn't make because it would have probably been easier to stay home...Yep, for sure staying home watching "The Greatest Showman" on repeat would have been easier than climbing to the back of the car to clean up car sickness puke! And, in actuality, I've become sort of a homebody in recent years! My anxiety goes through the roof when I think about leaving town, BUT, seeing these gorgeous mountains and family and friends has been just the cure for my homesick heart.:)

We didn't only stay in Utah, though, we ventured up to the Northwest, which is where Tom is from! We sailed the Columbia river, hiked to waterfalls, visited the coast and the Tillamook Cheese Factory... we visited his grandparents and interviewed them for family history! I love visiting the Oregon towns that raised him.


In Utah, we went paddle boarding {for my first time ever,} rode bikes through beautiful mountain towns, played with friends and cousins, ate at some of our favorite restaurants, and celebrated my sweet grandma's 85th birthday! We had picnics in the mountains, shot fireworks for America's birthday, and stayed up until the middle of the night chatting with dear friends!

It's been fairly simple, but it's been full of incredibly rich and beautiful memories that we think our kids will remember for a long time, and will hopefully want to do again!:)

Postpartum Workout

For me, getting the motivation to get to the gym after baby 5 has been rough. Okay, let's be honest, after every baby. Haha! I have the desire to have the desire, if that makes sense, but the energy to actually do it hasn't been there. But, my 10 month old slept through the night for the first real time a few weeks ago {yes, 10 month old. Hahaha. But she's our baby right now and I wasn't pushing the issue because I was soaking up all the nighttime cuddles and feedings. BUT, I was admittedly exhausted. And my toddlers don't sleep much better, so we're kind of used to it!:) Haha!} and it seemed like a good time to start doing things slowly. I went in and got on a bike and it actually felt good. So, cheers to all you Mamas trying to make healthy choices! It's so not easy, {like I've literally had my weight times 10 in ice cream since we've moved.} but you're not alone in it!:)

The Incredibles 2

We took our kids to see The Incredibles 2 for opening day today! We couldn’t get a family picture at the theater, since after the movie, one baby at a time was slowly breaking down while another dragged herself on the theater floor and licked the carpet. The usual. Hahaha. So here is one from the year before this past Halloween! It was so much fun, and so sweet to see our little crew lined up in their seats! I don’t want to spoil anything but the little Pixar Short that played before the movie, "Bao," had me all teary! Did anyone else see it today?!

My review from a "Mama Perspective:"

Some parts of the movie did get pretty intense! I'm usually really sensitive to movies, and we don't go to them often. The most recent one we went to was "The Greatest Showman," and we took the kids after I had screened it once. Even though there were some parts in the "Incredibles 2" that I would consider a little scary, my kids did great and didn't mention it afterwards! I would definitely take that into consideration, though, for littles or kids who are prone to scary dreams! There were also two minor language bombs that I felt were unnecessary for a Disney/Pixar movie and wished those weren't there. Overall, it was a fun sequel with lots of action! I'd love to hear what you thought of the movie or the short!

I know, I talk about the Texas heat probably way too much {and I'm told it isn't even hot yet! Hahaha!} I'm definitely not talking about it in a complaining way, but more like an "I'd better figure out my summer clothing game STAT, because all of my wardrobe is based around Utah weather." Sooo...basically opposite of here!:) Haha!

Here are some AWESOME dresses I found on Jane! They are $14.99 plus shipping, and I obviously bought a few colors. *Insert monkey covering its mouth emoji here.* I was feeling a little bit panicked that I would begin taking after our 2-year-old and start stripping during church when it gets toasty, so I'd say this purchase saved my family from an embarrassing situation.;)
